Pearson & Ramsay Lecture Theatres – The refurbishment covered two lecture theatres and included new fixed and retractable seating and audio-visual installations.
This proved to be a wonderful opportunity for the Cumberland team to present their knowledge and expertise, whilst facing the everyday challenges of the University’s high volume of visitors throughout the installation program.
Print Room Café – This 14 week project embraced the complete adaption and alteration of the existing print works area within one of London’s leading University’s.
The brief was for the installation of architectural design concept features to express a 21st century café suitable for students and private use. The works included electrical installation, new servery and kitchen installation along with specialist features, decoration and flooring works. Finishing off with the café spilling out onto the square at South Junction, transforming the area. The project was successfully delivered on time and under budget!
Estates Department – 7 Week project – Refurbishment of Estates Department. Formation of Glazed Offices and meeting room lighting alteration, including HVAC works. Phase programme in a live environment
Belnor House – Cumberland were University College London’s natural choice of contractor for their new complex Book and Records Depository. Belnor House comprised of the fitting out of a vacant storage warehouse to provide an off-site book and records depository for UCL, which would provide space for the next 10 years – a total of 25 miles of linear shelving!
Cumberland built a fireproof secure storage room, including fireproof safes for all of the property deeds, historic documentation and artifacts to protect these irreplaceable documents.
